Give It to God
You can hand your worries to God like a heavy backpack. He cares for you.
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:7Imagine carrying a backpack stuffed with rocks all day. That's what worry feels like inside — heavy, tiring, hard to put down. But you were never meant to carry it alone.
The Bible says to “cast” your worries on God — to throw them to Him like handing off a heavy bag. Why? Because He cares for you. Not just a little. He cares about the very thing keeping you up at night.
Giving worries to God usually looks like praying. You tell Him exactly what's on your mind, and you leave it in His strong hands. Sometimes you'll need to hand the same worry over more than once — and that's okay.
God is bigger than the thing you're worried about, and He is closer than you think. You can rest, because He never stops watching over you.
Let's think about it
- What worry has felt heavy lately?
- What does it mean to you that God actually cares about that worry?
- What helps you remember to pray instead of just worrying?
A little prayer
Dear God, here is my worry — I'm handing it to You. Thank You that You care about me and everything I'm facing. Help me trust You and rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.
Try this today
Write or draw one worry on a slip of paper, pray over it, then tuck it in a “God box” or trash it as a sign you've handed it to Him.
