Add Motions
Create a hand motion for each phrase. Movement helps memory lock in.
When children memorize Scripture, they carry truth with them wherever they go. Here are verses to learn, plus simple ways to make them stick.
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
Psalm 119:11“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son.”
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you.”
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart.”
“We love because he first loved us.”
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”
“Be kind and compassionate to one another.”
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”

Set the verse to a familiar tune. Kids remember songs long after words.
Write it on a board, then erase one word at a time as you say it together.
Put the verse on the fridge or bathroom mirror and read it every day.
You say a phrase, your child echoes it back. Then switch. Repeat until it flows.
Add a sticker each time a verse is learned. Celebrate progress together.
Reinforce the verses your child is learning with interactive Bible games at Kingdom Quest Games.
