The Bible has a special song, Psalm 139, that tells you something amazing: God knows you, God made you, and God loves you — completely.
God knows you
God knows everything about you. He knows when you sit down and when you stand up. He knows your thoughts and even your words before you say them. Nobody knows you better than God.
God made every part of you
Before you were even born, God was making you — your fingers and toes, your eyes and your smile. He carefully made every single part of you. You are not an accident. You are God's wonderful idea.
You are wonderful
The Bible says you are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” That means God made you amazing and special on purpose. There is no one else in the whole world exactly like you.
God is always near
No matter where you go — high up or far away, in bright light or dark night — God is always with you. You are never, ever alone. His hand gently holds you.
Loved on purpose
God's thoughts about you are more than all the grains of sand on the beach! He planned your days before even one of them began. You are known, you are wanted, and you are deeply loved.
⚓ The big truth
You are not an accident. God made you carefully, on purpose, and He loves you more than you can count. You are wonderfully made!
“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
— Psalm 139:14
Try saying it out loud three times to help it stick!
Talk about it
- How does it feel to know God made you on purpose?
- God is always with you. When is a time you need to remember you're not alone?
- What is one wonderful thing about how God made you?
Let's pray
Dear God, thank You for making me on purpose and loving me so much. Thank You that You are always with me. Help me remember I am wonderfully made. Amen.
Try this at home
Stand in front of a mirror and say, “God made me wonderfully and loves me!” Then name three things you're thankful for about how God made you.
